Windsor MP, Jack Rankin recently met with a group of inspiring local people in Ascot who are working hard to support Ukrainians in the war between Ukraine and Russia.
The group have been supporting Ukrainians ever since the war broke out following Putin’s illegal and immoral invasion of Ukraine.
Locally, humanitarian supplies including ambulances have been donated to Ukraine.
Bobby Brown (photo, middle left) kindly donated a generator in order for surgery to be performed on injured Ukrainian soldiers. Many operations are conducted without generators, and Jack was shown the phenomenal difference generators are making to procedures.
Dmitro (photo, centre) has been heroically driving all donations from Ascot to Ukraine and has been making these trips since the war started.
He has also been delivering pairs of size 14 shoes, shipped from the USA, to one 6'8" Ukrainian soldier who is unable to get them from the Ukrainian army.
Lynda Yong (photo, right), a local seamstress has been making hospital gowns and clothing for people who are injured in the war between Ukraine and Russia, which are being driven over for hospitals to use by Dmitro.
Commenting, Jack said:
“It was incredible to meet these inspiring individuals and hear about the amazing work they are doing to support our friends in Ukraine.
“Their efforts to help the Ukrainian war effort are truly admirable and I am so proud that this work is going on right here in Ascot.”
