Jack Rankin declared himself "deeply humbled" after he was elected as Windsor's new Member of Parliament in the early hours of 5th July, retaining the seat for the Conservatives.
The Count, which got underway at Braywick Leisure Centre in Maidenhead a few hours after polling stations closed, was a tense wait for the candidates, with Jack emerging victorious at about 6am.
With his wife Sarah, his brother Gus, and close supporters by his side, Jack thanked his team and everyone involved in the count, also paying tribute to his rival candidates for a spirited but fair contest.
He said: "Over 16,000 of you decided to trust me with your vote to be your next Member of Parliament. I've made some quite solemn commitments to be a local, vocal, accessible constituency MP first and foremost. You were very clear that's what you felt you've missed over the past years and that's what I want to correct.
"So you will start to see me opening an office in Central Windsor and holding surgeries in each and every town and village in the constituency."
Making a plea to those who voted for other parties, Jack added: "I hope over the next four five years that I can represent every person in this constituency and perhaps to gain your support in the future as the Conservative Party rebuilds."
